The Department of Information and Tourism (DOIT), Taipei City Government, unveils tourism promotion activities in Singapore and Malaysia. The campaign, featuring “Taipei Travel Gift Bags” and exclusive packages, aims to attract more visitors, focusing on classic city attractions, emerging destinations, and special events.

TAIPEI, TAIWAN – The Department of Information and Tourism (DOIT), Taipei City Government is leading three post-COVID tourism promotion and industry-exchange activities in Singapore and Malaysia from August 21 to 25. Commissioner Chen Shu-Hui personally unveiled special “Taipei Travel Gift Bags,” “Singapore and Malaysia Tourist Exclusive Package,” and other special deals, with an aim to attract more visitors from Singapore and Malaysia.

For first-time Muslim travelers visiting Taiwan, DOIT recommends classic city attractions such as Taipei 101, the National Palace Museum, and Liberty Square. For travelers of Chinese descent with a high revisit rate, emerging attractions such as the Taipei Music Center, Taipei Performing Arts Center, and Rongjin Gorgeous Time are highly rewarding destinations. Commissioner Chen reminds everyone that Taipei is just 4 to 5 hours from Singapore/Malaysia, and this campaign seeks to entice more travelers to Taipei where wonder-filled holidays are guaranteed.

The 12 participating enterprises in this campaign include iconic hotels, commercial districts, souvenir sellers, food and drinks, wedding salons, and cultural-creative brands. DOIT emphasized that an extensive array of captivating events take place in Taipei City, especially the Taipei New Year’s Eve party on December 31, capped by the Taipei 101 fireworks show, with revelers in the hundreds of thousands counting down to the New Year. After this is the 2024 Taipei Lantern Festival, hitting the stage in February. This duo forms the premier showcase of Asia’s classic “double New Year” celebration season. All international explorers are invited to participate in these grand events.
