IGLTA opens call for 2024 Global Convention speakers in Osaka

The International LGBTQ+ Travel Association will host its 2024 Global Convention in Osaka, Japan from October 23-26, coinciding with Osaka Pride. This first Asian event seeks speakers for sessions on LGBTQ+ travel marketing and intersectionality.

Osaka, Japan  The International LGBTQ+ Travel Association will hold its 2024 Global Convention on 23-26 October and is now accepting applications for speakers for this historic event in Osaka, Japan. This marks the first time IGLTA will hold its premier educational and networking event in Asia, and it is planned to coincide with Osaka Pride (tentatively scheduled for 26-27 October).

IGLTA seeks dynamic and engaging speakers from diverse backgrounds to deliver compelling presentations that speak to a global audience and explore topics relevant to LGBTQ+ travel marketing and intersectionality in the tourism industry. Speakers will have the opportunity to share their unique perspectives during the two days of breakouts, workshops, and main-stage presentations.

“IGLTA is thrilled to shine a spotlight on Asia’s dynamic LGBTQ+ travel scene through this historic convention,” said IGLTA President/CEO John Tanzella (he/him). “We’re seeking passionate voices from all backgrounds—established leaders and rising stars alike—to share their insights and spark conversations that shape the future of LGBTQ+ travel in Japan and throughout the region.”

New this year: Breakout sessions and workshops will follow two tracks, one for newcomers to the LGBTQ+ travel market and one for established professionals interested in the latest trends.The deadline to apply is 31 May.

The annual convention brings together top industry leaders and experts from around the world to share insights, experiences and best practices in LGBTQ+ tourism.
