Hong Kong’s new designer boutique hotel, The Luxe Manor, has won its first accolade, inclusion in Conde Nast Traveller magazine`s annual ‘Hot List’ of the hottest, sexiest hotels, restaurants, spas and nightclubs to open around the world in the past year.
The luxury hotel with a “surreal” concept styled after a European mansion is the only hotel in Hong Kong included in the Hot List 2007.
The judges commented: “There`s more than a touch of Salvador Dali and a dash of Bladerunner to The Luxe Manor.”
“The six suites ratchet up the surreal experience, variously decorated to imitate a Bedouin tent, or with mirrored wallpaper,” commented Conde Nast.
General Manager Wallace Chiu said: “It is a great honour to earn this recognition with such a prestigious accolade.”
“This ‘Hot List’ is regarded as a definitive guide to the world`s most exciting new establishments. Newly re-designed to appeal to a unique and stylish segment of the luxury leisure and business travellers, The Luxe Manor backs onto the buzzing dining and entertainment district of Knutsford Terrace.”
Marcus Lee, President of GR8 Leisure Concept Ltd., said: “It is a strong vote of confidence as we embark on two new projects in Central, Hong Kong and Suzhou in mainland China.”
