The award-winning Japan specialist tour operator has paused all new inquiries for travel before April 12, 2023 after receiving incredible demand for Japan’s famed Cherry Blossom season.

BROOMFIELD, CO – Japan’s first cherry Blossom season open to international travelers in four years is proving to be one of the most sought-after seasons yet. In response to the incredible demand, InsideJapan Tours, award-winning Japan travel specialist and tour operator, has put all new inquiries traveling before April 12, 2023, on hold.

While Japan overall has received an increase in bookings for the year ahead, peak cherry blossom season (late March and early April) is particularly popular. This year, there are additional factors in play, such as the diminishing number of flights, along with the pent-up demand that is forcing InsideJapan to call time in prime blossom bookings.

Given the record demand for travel in 2023, InsideJapan has just launched its 2024 small group tour dates, with expectations that spring itineraries will sell out quickly.

“After a successful 2019, it is a relief that we are picking up where we left off as people want to travel to Japan again,” said Trade Marketing Manager, John McMillan. “Instead of 2023 being about travel getting back on track, it’s now about keeping up with incredible demand. It’s clear that Japan is firmly established on travel wish lists, which as a Japan travel specialist, is great to see,” said McMillan.

Regardless of what travelers are looking for, the Japan specialist offers tailored cultural adventures across the country to suit and insist that there are many options still open for people that want to experience travel to Japan in 2023.

McMillan continued, “Japan is an incredible destination to visit throughout the year and in any season. For those looking to enjoy beautiful blooms without the crowds, there are other incredible places all over Japan, full of heritage and their own very Japanese character – Kanazawa being one with its samurai districts and one of the most beautiful gardens in Japan.”

May is an underrated month with good weather and gardens in full bloom, and Autumn gives spring a run for its money; the ‘Koyo’ autumn leaf viewing season kicks off from October to early December, lighting up mountainsides and temple gardens with fiery reds and orange leaves. Come winter, Japan boasts clear skies with snow covering much of the country.

In the last few months, InsideJapan has been on a big recruitment drive, hiring over 50 team members across the world, including bringing back a number of previous employees in order to keep up with the demand and providing a high quality of service.

According to government sources, Japan recently announced plans to reclassify the novel coronavirus to the same category as common infectious diseases such as seasonal influenza effective May 8, 2023.
