Meet Taiwan, in collaboration with Taiwan Tourism Bureau, showcased Taiwan’s competitive edge in the MICE industry at the 2023 IT&CMA event in Bangkok. The initiative leverages advanced holographic technology and promotes sustainable incentive travel, targeting international buyers and industry stakeholders.
BANGKOK, THAILAND – Meet Taiwan organized a Taiwan Pavilion with the Taiwan Tourism Bureau at the 2023 Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings Asia (IT&CMA). Meet Taiwan recruited 16 domestic MICE-related businesses that included professional conference and event planning companies, travel agencies, hotels, airlines and other conference and incentive travel-related businesses to promote Taiwan’s sustainable incentive travel itineraries and services at the event.
IT&CM Asia is a landmark conference and incentive travel exhibition in Asia. Held in Thailand every September in previous years. This year attracted more than 400 international buyers.
Meet Taiwan in collaboration with the “Expo-Tech Program” and the Industrial Technology Research Institute, has set up a holographic projection booth at the exhibition. Utilizing holographic projection technology, Robert Yang, Director of Trade Development Division, International Trade Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs (TITA) recorded a speech video. By observing the video from different positions and angles, viewers can see the subject from various perspectives, as if the person were actually present at the scene. Mr. Yang also mentioned in his speech that Taiwan was honored this year with the M&C Asia Stella Awards for “Best Exhibition Destination in Asia” and “Best Convention and Exhibition Bureau,” which reflects Taiwan’s competitiveness in the exhibition industry. He extended a warm welcome with open arms to business professionals from around the world to come to Taiwan to organize and participate in exhibition events.
Meet Taiwan continues to assist Taiwanese conference and exhibition industry stakeholders in seeking business opportunities and they will be organizing a delegation to participate in the Taiwan Expo Japan from November 7 to 12.
