The travel and hospitality sectors were abuzz with the conclusion of the 31st IT&CM (Incentives, Conferences, and Meetings) Asia and the 26th CTW (Corporate Travel World) Asia-Pacific 2023. Hosted in Bangkok, Thailand from September 26th to 28th, this year’s event was nothing short of a spectacle, marking a triumphant return to in-person events, enriched with a myriad of activities, networking sessions, and knowledge components.

Unprecedented Turnout and Global Participation

With participation from over 240 new and returning destinations and brands, the event also welcomed over 400 MICE, Association, and Corporate Buyers hailing from more than 50 countries and territories. This diverse participation enabled a plethora of procurement and networking opportunities, setting new standards for global engagement within the industry.

Mr. Bhummikitti Ruktaengam, President of the Sustainable Tourism Development Foundation and Adviser of the Phuket Tourist Association, delivered the opening keynote. He shed light on the criticality of tourism-MICE partnerships in empowering Thai communities. The opening day reached its zenith with an evening ceremony co-hosted by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, featuring a myriad of Thai culinary delights and traditional performances.

The Exhibitions and Business Engagements

Pattaya MICE City’s stance on Pattaya being a multifaceted destination was of particular interest to many delegates. Meanwhile, exhibitors like MEET TAIWAN and Macao Trade And Investment Promotion Institute engaged the audience with food tasting, Lion Dance Performances, and destination showcases. The Thai Convention and Exhibition Bureau captivated attention through Augmented Reality experiences, while The Mulia Hotel & Resort Bali held an enticing lucky draw.
