How Thailand’s tourism industry can leverage digital marketing to revive faster in the post-pandemic period will be among the topics to be discussed at Skål Bangkok business luncheon.
Bangkok, Thailand – Skål Bangkok will be organizing a Business Luncheon Talk on “New Era of Digital Marketing for Thailand’s Tourism Business” with Pawoot Pongvitayapanu (Pom), Thailand’s Internet Icon and Pioneer, as guest speaker.
The event will take place on Tuesday, 9th August 2022 at the Landmark Bangkok Hotel starting with cocktails reception at 11.30 a.m. followed by a 3-course western set lunch and the talk. The eventr will end at 2p.m.
Pawoot Pongvitayapanu (Pom) is Online Entrepreneur. He is CEO of efrastructure Group, Managing Director and founder of www.TARAD.com the largest E-Commerce Service in Thailand. He started the company since 1999 and joined with Rakuten Group No.1 E-Commerce Site in Japan in 2009. He is also President of Thai E-Commerce Association, Teacher, Speaker for more than 100 organisations, Consultant, Columnist (Newspaper and Magazine). He is also a regular guest speaker for 96.5 FM radio. Along E-Commerce business, he is also Director and founder of Zocial Inc (Online Analytics & Research Company) and Winter Egency (Online Agency Company). Many people call him as “Thailand Internet Icon & Pioneer and Thailand’s E-Commerce Wizard”.

Andrew J Wood was born in Yorkshire England, he is a former hotelier, Skalleague and travel writer. Andrew has 48 years of hospitality and travel experience. Educated at Batley Grammar School and a hotel graduate of Napier University, Edinburgh. Andrew started his career in London, working with various hotels. His first posting overseas was with Hilton International, in Paris, and he later arrived in Asia in 1991 on Bangkok with his appointment as Director of Marketing at the Shangri-La Hotel and has remained in Thailand ever since. Andrew has also worked with the Royal Garden Resort Group now Anantara (Vice President) and the Landmark Group of Hotels (Vice President of Sales and Marketing). Latterly he has been the General Manager at the Royal Cliff Group of Hotels in Pattaya and the Chaophya Park Hotel Bangkok & Resorts.
A past board member and Director of Skål International (SI), a former National President with SI Thailand and a two time past President of the Bangkok Club. Andrew is the former President of Skål Asia. In 2019, Andrew was awarded SKÅL’s highest award the distinction of Membre D’Honneur.
He is a regular guest lecturer at various Universities in Asia.
