Vietjet opens new routes between Vietnam, Taiwan and South Korea

The Hanoi–Busan route will add up to a total of three routes between Vietnam and Korea alongside routes from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) to Seoul operated by the airline.

BANGKOK – With a mission of making air travel accessible to everyone and a more popular means of transportation for all sorts of passengers including growing tourist markets, Vietjet held an official announcement ceremony for its new routes, Hanoi–Taipei and Ho Chi Minh City-Kaohsiung (Southern Taiwan). Vietjet will also begin selling tickets for its newly launched Hanoi–Busan (Korea) route which will be put into operation from December 16th, 2016.
 
The Hanoi–Busan route will add up to a total of three routes between Vietnam and Korea alongside routes from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) to Seoul operated by the airline. Vietjet is pleased to increase its number of flights to Korea, offering Thai passengers low-cost flight options to one of Thailand’s favorite outbound destinations.
 
The new Busan route is operated on every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Flying time per leg is around four hours and thirty minutes. Flights take off Hanoi at 01:00 and land in Busan at 7:00 (local time). Return flights depart Busan at 08:00 and arrive in Hanoi at 11:05 (local time).
 
Vietjet has also added two new flights between Vietnam and Taiwan. The new routes include Hanoi–Taipei and HCMC-Kaohsiung in order to meet the increasing travel demand of tourists looking to travel to Vietnam and then enjoy onward flights. The added routes will also boost regional integration and trade.
 

 
The Hanoi-Taipei route will be operated on a daily basis from October 30, 2016 with a flight time of 2 hours 45 minutes per leg. The flight takes off from Hanoi at 14:05 and lands in Taipei at 18:00 (local time). The return flight departs at 19:10 and arrives in Hanoi at 21:20 (local time).
 
The HCMC-Kaohsiung route will be launched on December 12, 2016 with 5 return flights a week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. The flight, which lasts 3 hours 30 minutes per leg, departs from HCMC at 02:10 and lands in Kaohsiung at 06:30 (local time). The return flight takes off at 08:15 and lands in HCMC at 10:45.
 
For the new routes Ho Chi Minh City – Hong Kong, in particular, it will be from December 9, 2016; from December 12, 2016 for Ho Chi Minh City – Kaohsiung route; from December 11, 2016 for Hai Phong – Seoul route; and from December 16, 2016 for Hanoi – Busan route.
 
With these new routes, Vietjet’s flight network has more than 20 international routes connecting 15 destinations all over the region.
