Norwegian Cruise Line launches 2012/13 worldwide brochure

Norwegian Cruise Line has launched its Freestyle Cruising 2012/13 brochure with an early-booking offer, new ports and itineraries, interactive brochure content and a second embarkation port option for Norwegian Epic’s Mediterranean sailings.

For those guests booking a cruise from the new 2012/13 programme between July 1 and August 31, 2011 the cruise line offers early-booking savings on all cruises of six nights and longer. Guests sailing on one of the world-wide itineraries to the Caribbean, Bahamas, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada or through the Panama Canal save 75 Euro p.p. when booking a Studio, Inside or Oceanview Stateroom, 100 Euro p.p. in Balcony Staterooms and 125 Euro p.p. in Suites and Villas. For those guests booking one of the European cruises in the Mediterranean or the Baltic Sea as well as the Atlantic crossings, savings even double in all categories to up to 250 Euro p.p. for guests booking a suite or villa.

In a first for Norwegian Cruise Line, QR codes will also feature in the brochure’s introductory pages. After downloading a simple app, customers can scan in the codes to access exclusive Freestyle Cruising video content.

Customers can expect even more choice in 2012/13, as for the first time Norwegian Cruise Line will have four ships in Europe, with two sailing year-round. Norwegian Epic will return for another summer of Western Mediterranean itineraries from Barcelona and agents now have the option to offer Rome as a second embarkation option. Guests can begin the alternative seven-night cruise departing from Civitavecchia travelling to Livorno (Florence / Pisa), Italy; Villefranche (Nice), France; Provence (Marseille), France; Barcelona, Spain and Naples (Italy) with a day at sea.

Making her European debut will be Norwegian Spirit with 12-night Grand Mediterranean voyages from Barcelona to Venice and vice versa between April and October 2012. In winter, Norwegian Spirit will sail on a series of nine-night cruises to the Canary Islands from/to Barcelona. Also making up the four-ship deployment is Norwegian Sun, which will sail the Baltics from Copenhagen with prices for the nine-night cruise, and Norwegian Jade – again cruising year-round in the Mediterranean – sailing popular seven night Greek Isles from Venice itineraries from April to October which can be combined with her seven-night Adriatic cruise to make a 14-night holiday. For the 2012/13 winter season Norwegian Jade will redeploy to Civitavecchia (Rome) and offer 10- and 11-night cruises to the Eastern Mediterranean and the Holy Land.

Highlights of new worldwide itineraries include the once again varied cruise programme in the Caribbean with eight ships cruising from four ports – from New York in the North to New Orleans on the Gulf coast. Norwegian Epic returns to Miami for the winter season offering seven-night cruises to the Eastern Caribbean and Norwegian Sun sails a series of new 10- and 11-night Southern Caribbean cruises from Miami with ports of call including St Maarten, St Lucia and Dominica as well as Columbia, Aruba and Curacao. Norwegian Jewel will sail seven-night Western Caribbean itineraries from Miami from October 2012 to April 2013, an itinerary which is combinable with an Eastern Caribbean sailing over the festive period to create a 14-night back to back Christmas holiday.

Apart from the once again varied Alaska programme with two ships sailing from/to Seattle, Norwegian Cruise Line offers an expanded cruise programme to Canada and New England during the Indian summer with two ships sailing from New York, Boston and Quebec City. Norwegian Dawn will offer a completely new itinerary “Colonial America from Quebec”, a 16-night cruise which visits e. g. New York, Baltimore and Portland and Pride of America will continue her year-round exclusive interisland Hawaii programme with seven-night cruises from/to Honolulu.

Francis Riley, Vice President & General Manager International at Norwegian Cruise Line said: ”We’re very excited to welcome our biggest ever European deployment in 2012 which will offer a great choice of year-round cruises in Europe – all combined with the choice and flexibility of Freestyle Cruising.”
