JAKARTA, Indonesia – Traveloka, Indonesia’s leading travel booking app for domestic and international destinations, added the Price Alerts feature in the latest version of Traveloka mobile app (Android and iOS). This feature aims to ease customers in finding the most affordable airfare on their desired date and route. Customers will receive an alert whenever the prices match their budget via push notification and email, in a daily or weekly basis.
For some users, price has become the key aspect when booking a flight as they are looking for good deals. However, the fact that airfare fluctuation happens regularly has caused customers to check their desired flights almost periodically before purchasing tickets. This trend is the result of a research
case study by Google, which shows that
“When is the best time to book a flight?” is one of the most frequently asked questions by travelers who are planning their trip.
Head of Marketing Traveloka, Dannis Muhammad, said “The Price Alerts feature provides a more convenient booking experience, in which our customers can save more time since they don’t need to monitor the airfares frequently. What’s more, they will be the first to know the best time to book a flight because they will get a notification once the price of their desired flights has either dropped or matched with their budget.”
Ever since its initial release in August 2016, most active users of Traveloka App have been using this feature, because it has helped them to plan their trip as early as possible. Based on the Price Alerts usage, Traveloka found that there has been a surge of interest in international travel, especially within Asia Pacific region, over the past month.

To use this feature, customers can follow these simple steps:
- Log in to Traveloka App
- In My Account menu, choose Price Alerts
- Click the + button to add a new price alerts
- Fill in flight details
Choose origin, destination, departure/return date, number of passengers and currency
Users are free to choose the notification types. They can opt-in for email, push notifications, or both
- Choose the alert frequency
Users are free to choose the frequency of alert. They can opt-in for daily or weekly alerts.
Once a new price alert is set, Traveloka App will monitor millions of flight prices in 24/7 and notify the customers via email and push notification so that they will never miss the best deals.
