Mövenpick Hotel Surabaya City, set in the heart of the thriving East Java province, is poised to become a sought-after destination for both business and leisure visitors. Under the Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts brand, the property reopens with a commitment to offer heartfelt service, a focus on well-being, and the highest levels of sustainability.

Strategically located on Jalan Ahmad Yani in Surabaya’s dynamic commercial district, Mövenpick Hotel Surabaya City is surrounded by shopping malls, offices, exhibition centers, educational institutions, medical facilities, and more. It’s conveniently situated just a 30-minute drive from Juanda International Airport.

Garth Simmons, Chief Executive Officer of Accor’s Premium, Midscale, and Economy Division Asia, expressed enthusiasm about the hotel’s launch, stating, “We are thrilled to introduce Mövenpick Hotel Surabaya City to the city. With its renowned culinary innovations, heartfelt service, and mindful sustainability practices, the Mövenpick brand is a perfect match for Indonesia. I am confident that this remarkable hotel will captivate local and international guests alike. We are dedicated to expanding Mövenpick’s exceptional hospitality standards to other parts of the country in the future.”

The hotel features 243 spacious and stylish rooms and suites, ranging from the 33-square-meter Superior Rooms to the expansive 182-square-meter Presidential Suite, all equipped with 55-inch LED HD TVs. Guests can unwind by the elevated outdoor infinity pool, utilize the fully-equipped fitness center, and indulge in the soothing spa. Additionally, the hotel offers six function spaces with integrated screens and audio-visual technology, the largest of which can accommodate up to 750 delegates, catering to the needs of meeting planners.

Patita Restaurant presents an elegant all-day dining concept that showcases creative new flavors and nourishing bites. The vibrant Lobby Lounge serves refreshments throughout the day. Guests can also enjoy a series of Healthy Shots each morning, blending fresh tropical fruits and vegetables. The brand’s signature daily Chocolate Hour features handcrafted sweet treats and live demonstrations by the hotel’s skilled chefs. Collaborating with local chocolate farmers and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from East Java, the hotel has transformed local ingredients into a delightful selection of authentic premium chocolate treats, enhancing the Chocolate Hour experience.

Mövenpick Hotel Surabaya City actively supports local cultural initiatives such as #BanggaBuatanIndonesia and #BeliKreatifLokal, emphasizing the use of locally-made products. The property also contributes to sustainability by eliminating all single-use plastics from guest areas.

Mövenpick Hotel Surabaya City marks the second Mövenpick-branded property in Indonesia, following Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali. This opening is a significant step in the expansion strategy of the renowned Swiss brand within Indonesia.
