Costa Cruises resumes Japan itineraries in August

Costa Cruises announced the resumption of its Japan itineraries starting from August to October, 2011. The wide selection of itineraries will fit all types of travelers including families, friends,
honeymooners, young couples, corporate incentives and meetings groups. Costa Classica (53,000 gross tonnage and 1,680 total Guests), home-ported in Shanghai, will operate a total of 12 trips to Japan and South Korea.

Costa Classica offers 5 day cruises from Shanghai to Fukuoka and Cheju (from 26 August to 23 September); 7 day cruise from Shanghai to Busan, Fukuoka, Kagoshima on 1 October; 6 day cruise from Shanghai to Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Jeju on 7 October. In addition, Costa Cruises is also offering embarkation from Fukuoka for Japanese Market, Costa Classica offers 5 day cruises from Fukuoka to Jeju, Shanghai (from 28 August to 21 September); 3 day itineraries from Fukuoka to Jeju, Shanghai on 25 and 29 September. Costa Cruises will continue to offer the best in Italian style cruising experience, hospitality and cuisine to our guest.

In 2012, to reinforce our ongoing commitment toward Asia Pacific region, Costa Cruises is expanding its operations in the region, with the deployment for the first time of the Costa Victoria (75,200 gross tonnage and 2,394 total Guests), which will replace the Costa Classica (53,000 gross tonnage and 1,680 total Guests). “This expansion plan demonstrates Costa Cruises’  commitment toward the Region and in particular toward Japan both as an appreciated destination as well as a source market” said Dario Rustico, Vice President, Sales and Marketing of Costa Cruises’ Pacific Asia Operations.

Costa Victoria will offer Guests the chance to book 246 veranda cabins and enjoy the splendid scenery of Far East. She will sail to an array of new destinations in Japan, including the tropical paradise Hososhima/Miyazaki, Wakayama, which boasts the largest hot spring resort in Japan’s second largest city, Osaka, and the popular sightseeing cities in the Kanto Area Yokohama and Tokyo, the capital city.

Costa Classica, 53,000 gross-tonnage ship with a guest capacity of 1,680 total Guests, has 659 cabins including 10 suites, two swimming pools and four Jacuzzis. There are two restaurants and seven bars onboard offering Asian and Italian gastronomic delights around the clock.

Costa Victoria, 75,200 gross-tonnage ship with a guest capacity of 2,394 total Guests, has 964 cabins including 246 veranda cabins, three swimming pools and four Jacuzzis. There are five restaurants and ten bars onboard.
