Air Astana provides third-party maintenance services to airlines including Turkish, Lufthansa, Fly Dubai, Air Arabia, Wizz Air, Asiana, Qatar, Lot, Azal and Cargolux.
Air Astana has successfully passed the International Air Transport Association Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) for 2021, with this being the eighth audit to be undertaken since the first one in 2007.
Last year’s IOSA verified Air Astana’s organization and management systems, flight operations, operational control and flight dispatch, engineering and maintenance, cabin operations, ground handling, cargo operation and security.
The IOSA program is an internationally recognized and accepted evaluation system designed to assess an airline’s operational management and control systems. IATA requires all members to be audited every two years in order to ensure the airline meets almost 1,000 IOSA safety and quality standards. Audits are conducted by specialist organizations accredited by IATA, with the same organization prevented from auditing the airline consecutively.
Air Astana continues to demonstrate its engineering excellence with the completion of C-checks on two Airbus A321 aircraft at its technical base in Nur-Sultan in late 2021 and plans for C-checks for eight more aircraft this year.
