Air New Zealand appoints Jenni Martin as new Head of South and South East Asia

In her new role, Jenni will be responsible for sales and market development activity across South and South East Asia, with a particular emphasis on working closely with Singapore Airlines.

Singapore – Air New Zealand is pleased to announce the appointment of Jenni Martin as Head of South and South East Asia based in Singapore, replacing Mischa Mannix-Opie who left the company in October.

In her new role, Jenni will be responsible for sales and market development activity across South and South East Asia, with a particular emphasis on working closely with Air New Zealand’s alliance partner Singapore Airlines. She will report to Scott Carr, Regional General Manager Asia, Air New Zealand, and is the latest addition to the airline’s Senior Leadership Team.

Jenni began her career at Air New Zealand in 2010 when she joined from Qantas as an Account Executive in the New Zealand Region Corporate Sales team. Since then, Jenni has progressed through a number of roles including Travel Management Company Sales Manager, Senior Sales Manager New Zealand Region and most recently as Senior Manager Sales and Operations based in Sydney.

There, she helped to develop and implement the Sales Strategy for Australia and led the national sales and operational teams to achieve revenue and market share growth.

Scott Carr, Regional General Manager Asia, Air New Zealand, says, “Jenni’s achievements at Air New Zealand reflect her strong capability and dedication to the company. I’m confident that her experience and deep understanding of the business will help drive success for Air New Zealand in Singapore and the region.”

Jenni Martin, Head of South and South East Asia, Air New Zealand, says, “South and South East Asia is an increasingly dynamic market and I’m excited about the opportunity to lead our business growth in the region.

“Air New Zealand’s alliance with Singapore Airlines will continue to be a key part of our market strategy. We recently launched a third daily flight between Auckland and Singapore, from 28 October 2018, adding more than 165,000 seats annually between the two cities. This is further testament to Air New Zealand’s ongoing commitment to the region.”
