The addition of Business World Travel to the ATPI Group’s portfolio further increases the footprint of the growing business across Australasia. Business World Travel is based in Auckland, bringing the ATPI Group’s wholly owned offices to 34 in 18 countries around the world.

Expansion in the Asia Pacific region for ATPI has recently included the acquisition of the Australia-based Voyager in January 2014, the purchase of DTC Travel in Malaysia in October 2015, as well as new expanded premises in Singapore to accommodate a growing team, and earlier this year the company launched ATPI Sports Events in Australia.

Business World Travel was established in 1992 by Grant Bevin with a mission to focus on client service. Founder Bevin has since grown and built the successful business with a service ethos that matches that of the ATPI Group, and will remain with the company to lead the operation in New Zealand.

Graham Ramsey, CEO, the ATPI Group comments: “The purchase of Business Travel World is a significant milestone for our global business. As part of our growth strategy over the last two years we have focused on extensive investment and acquisitions. Through this most recent deal, we have a new exciting venture that reinforces the high standards of client service that are a cornerstone of our business. In turn, Business Travel World and its clients will benefit from ATPI’s bespoke technology, purchasing power, and comprehensive people development and training. We are delighted to welcome Grant and the team into the ATPI Group.”

Grant Bevin, founder, Business World Travel added: “Joining the ATPI Group is a fantastic opportunity for the business travel sector in the region. We have spent the past twenty-plus years building a company that puts customer service and long term relationships at the heart of its operations. The travel management sector is fast moving and developing its technological and client service capabilities at a pace, and the ATPI Group’s expertise will empower new opportunities for us. I am excited that Business World Travel is now part of one of the most dynamic businesses in the world.”

The business is funded in partnership with ICG and seven major banks comprising Lloyds, ING, HSBC, RBS, Investec, Aimco and Bank of Ireland and has been led by the same senior management team since 2002.

The ATPI Group has a network of over 100 offices worldwide and successful operations in event management, corporate travel, shipping and energy and online travel technology.
