Inaugurated by the Italian Embassy in Thailand and the Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce (TICC), the Moviemov Italian Film Fest at House Samyan in Bangkok marks its XIII edition. This year, the festival pays homage to the Turkish-Italian film director Ferzan Ozpetek with the screening of the restored copy of “The Turkish Bath – Hamam” and two of his most iconic films, “The Ignorant Fairies,” and “Loose Cannons.” The opening film, “C’è Ancora Domani,” a blockbuster comedy by Paola Cortellesi, sets the stage for a cinematic journey filled with laughter and introspection. Accompanied by esteemed guests such as Vinicio Marchioni and actress Milena Mancini, the festival promises an immersive experience into the world of Italian cinema.

Before the cinematic presentations, H.E. Paolo Dionisi, the esteemed Ambassador of Italy, and Mr. Federico Cardini, President of the Thai Italian Chamber of Commerce, graced the stage with their words, emphasizing the celebration of Italian culture and the strong connection between Italy and Thailand.

To enrich the festival’s program, industry-focused activities were curated to encourage the promotion of new Italian cinema abroad, particularly in South-East Asia.
