The RARE Showcase is an annual coming together event of the RARE India community,
In the view of the travel advisories issued by the World Health Organisation as well as the Government of India due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 3rd edition of The RARE Showcase has been cancelled. The sustainability led luxury travel event was set to take place at the Imperial Hotel in New Delhi on 17th and 18th April.
The RARE Showcase is an annual coming together event of the RARE India community, which is a collection of some of the finest ‘conscious luxury’ palace stays, boutique hotels, wildlife lodges, homestays and retreats across 16 States in India as well as in Nepal and Bhutan. Being the first-of-its-kind travel trade event in South Asia to bring conscious luxury travel into the center focus, representatives from all major Inbound DMCs, Domestic Operators and International Agents were expected to attend the event.
Ms Shoba Mohan, the Founder of RARE India, said, “Tourism is one of the first and major casualties following the Covid19 pandemic. There is no denying this fact. There are some things which are beyond our control and this is one of those situations. We need to keep our heads up and look out for some tough months to reignite the travel bug in people and put India and the subcontinent as a destination to visit again. At RARE India, we stand committed to our goal to promote ‘conscious luxury travel’ and the RARE Community of hotels strongly in the light of challenges we face on this planet, our only home.” she added.
Regarding rescheduling of the event, she said, “We are looking at various dates in the coming months to find the perfect window, but will be in a better position to pick a date only after the Advisory is lifted.”
