The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) announced the Association’s first virtual event, the PATA Dream to Travel Festival, taking place from June 22 – July 17, 2020.
The PATA Dream to Travel Festival brings together travel trade businesses worldwide to learn, network, and celebrate the power of travel during these challenging times. The Dream to Travel Forums are engaging two hour sessions packed with learning and inspiration, aimed at providing a united voice for building a more resilient, responsible, sustainable and stronger travel and tourism industry. The Forums follow a different theme each week (Trust, Courage, Wellbeing and Infinite Possibilities) that incorporates the human elements in PATA’s 2020 annual theme: ‘Partnerships for Tomorrow’.
Each week of the festival is dedicated to a specific destination and PATA is working with destination partners the Tourism Authority of Thailand (June 22-26), Tourism Malaysia (June 29 – July 3), the Nepal Tourism Board (July 6-10) and the Macao Government Tourism Office (July 13-17).
The Festival comprises three key elements:
- Dream to Travel Forums
- Digital Showroom & Community Hub
- Live Experiences, Virtual Hangouts & Giveaways
This festival will give the opportunity to brand/showcase products at the Digital Showroom, meet and connect with people through Community Hub, and gain further insights at the Forums. In addition, participants can enjoy live experience from the four destinations, while games, giveaways and other activities will provide an added opportunity to network, socialise and have fun.
