Ha Giang, Vietnam, welcomes 12 thousand visitors on Lunar New Year’s Eve 2021

Tourists mainly traveled in the form of self-arranging trips, using private cars and motorcycles.

According to a report of Ha Giang’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, from 10-16 February, there were 12 thousand visitors to Ha Giang, 30% of which were overnight tourists.

On this occasion, tourists mainly traveled in the form of self-arranging trips, using private cars and motorcycles. Main purposes of trips were religion/pilgrimages, visiting friends and relatives, sight-seeing… in Ha Giang City, Vi Xuyen District  and Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark.

Implementing the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People’s Committee, and Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) on ensuring tourism activities during the Lunar New Year 2021, Ha Giang’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued documents requiring localities and tourism businesses to carry out necessary measures to ensure safe tourism environment before, during and after the Lunar New Year’s Eve; checking tourist accommodation establishments; publishing information of qualified tourism service establishments opening during Tet holiday.

Ha Giang Tourism Association continued implementing the second tourism stimulus program, reducing service prices by 10-20%. 380 tourism service establishments in Ha Giang have opened during the Lunar New Year’s Eve 2021, strictly obeying the regulations on prevention and control of Covid-19.

Ha Giang’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has set up a hotline and officers on duty to timely solve problems related to service prices, security and safety for visitors.
