Stoeckli joins the company’s Bangkok headquarters from his most recent role as Chief Contracting Officer and acting CEO for Meeting Point Asia Ltd.

Diethelm Travel Group (DTG), an award-winning inbound tour operator servicing Asia, today announced Christian Stoeckli as its new General Manager for Diethelm Travel Thailand.

Stoeckli joins the company’s Bangkok headquarters from his most recent role as Chief Contracting Officer and acting CEO for Meeting Point Asia Ltd. Originally from Switzerland, Stoeckli boasts more than 35 years of experience specialising in product management and contracting for Southeast Asian destinations, including for companies such as Kuoni Reisen AG, FTI Touristik and TUI Switzerland.

In his new role, Stoeckli will be responsible for guiding the Diethelm Travel Thailand office’s overall strategy including continuing to extend its line of customisable services and offerings. His vast network and solid reputation are direct results from Stoeckli’s knowledge in product management and procurement as well as his rapport amongst staff and suppliers.

“With his extensive background in the Asia tourism industry and strong Thai supplier connections in particular, Christian brings not only a wealth of experience but a unique perspective to Thailand’s ever-evolving tourism landscape,” said Stephan Roemer, CEO of Diethelm Travel Group. “I look forward to having Christian join our motivated Thailand team and have no doubt that he will be an incredible asset – not simply meeting our core values and performance goals, but exceeding them.”

In addition to offering highly localised Journeys of a Lifetime in Thailand, Diethelm Travel Group also takes travellers to 12 other countries across Asia: Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.
