Bangkok, Thailand – Chatrium Hotels and Residences has announced the appointment of Rene Balmer as Group General Manager.
Balmer will work closely with the General Managers and leaders of various departments and will be responsible for launching new properties for Chatrium Hotels and Residences as the group expands, with Chatrium Hotel Siam Bangkok, Maitria Hotel Rama 9 Bangkok – A Chatrium Collection and Maitria Residence Rama 9 Bangkok – A Chatrium Collection all opening soon.
“I am delighted to join the Chatrium family and am thrilled to be given the opportunity to assist in building Chatrium Hotels & Residences into one of the most well-known independent hotel groups internationally in the near future,” Balmer said.
Balmer has widespread and extensive experience in the hospitality industry, starting his career in food & beverage culinary operations in 1986. He worked in this area for 19 years before accepting the role of General Manager Operations at a hotel/resort in Bangkok in 2005.
Prior to joining Chatrium Hotels and Residences, Balmer was a Senior Vice President Technical Services and Pre-Opening of a Thai-based hotel group.
