ONDA partners with Taiwan’s Dunqian for enhanced Korean tourism

ONDA MOU

ONDA signs MOU with Dunqian International to boost Korean visits to Taiwan, leveraging Dunqian’s extensive hotel portfolio for greater tourism exchange.

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA – ONDA announced it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dunqian International, Taiwan’s leading smart hotel group, to promote tourism in Taiwan. This agreement facilitates the distribution of Dunqian’s hotel inventory through Korean online sales channels.

With 9 brands and 53 hotels, totaling over 4,000 rooms, Dunqian International has been pivotal in attracting international travelers to Taiwan, offering a diverse range of accommodations from family resorts to business hotels.

With Korean tourism to Taiwan on a significant rise – 550,000 visitors in 2023 accounted for 6.9% of Taiwan’s total foreign tourist base and is expected to surge 50% further – ONDA’s initiative with Dunqian is timely.

Under the MOU, ONDA will distribute Dunqian Group’s hotels through various online sales channels in South Korea. This partnership aims to provide Korean tourists with convenient hospitality experiences at competitive prices, thereby stimulating increased tourism demand for Taiwan.

Wu Bing-ting, CEO of Dunqian International, commented, “Our vision revolves around providing a sustainable and innovative hospitality experience. We are excited to provide Korean tourists with memorable experiences in Taiwan”

The MOU aims to make it more convenient and affordable for Korean tourists to visit Taiwan,” added Hyun-seok Oh, CEO of ONDA. “ONDA is committed to continuously introducing high-quality hotels and accommodations in global tourism destinations to the Korean market.”
