This year participation has generated an estimate of more than RM200,000 in sales of Sabah tour packages.
PENANG – Sabah Tourism Board (STB) and nine Sabah industry players were present at the Malaysia International Travel Mart (MITM) 2023, which was held on 1st and 2nd July 2023 at Spice Arena Penang. The Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association‘s MITM Travel Fair 2023 aimed to rekindle travelers’ sense of adventure and enthusiasm as the travel and tourism sector recovers from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year participation has generated an estimate of more than RM200,000 in sales of Sabah tour packages. Doubling 2022’s sales, which was around RM100,000. Thus, suggesting the rising demand for Sabah as an alluring tourism destination for Penangnites and nearby states.
