Capacities offered by Korean air carriers in Mekong countries (November 2012- air seats/month)

EXCLUSIVE!

From Seoul Incheon International Airport, 4 Korean airlines provide flights to the five Mekong countries in Southeast Asia (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam), offering some of the best connections to the rest of the world. Although Bangkok can be seen as the natural gateway to Mekong countries, Korea holds strong positions in Vietnam and acts also as an ideal hub from Northern Asia as well as from North America.

Korean Air is the dominating airline offering 343 flights per  month to nine destinations out of ten served by all Korean carriers. Although Korean Air does not currently fly to Vientiane, the Laotian capital is served by its low cost affiliate Jin Air (LJ). Korean Air is also the first air carrier from Korea to launch flights to Yangon in Myanmar. Asiana Air follows in second position with 235 frequencies per month to 7 destinations. The carrier was the first to be granted traffic rights to Danang in Central Vietnam.
