HK Express sees strong Q1 performance with high load factors, expanding routes in Southeast Asia ahead of summer travel peak.

HK Express Airways (HK Express) reported strong business performance during the first quarter of 2024 and achieved average load factors that exceeded 97% during the Easter holidays in April.

As the Labour Day Golden Week holiday approaches, demand for HK Express services continues to grow significantly. Current bookings to destinations in North Asia have exceeded 90% occupancy, with some routes to South Korea achieving a booking rate of over 95%.

As the Golden Week nears, we have observed a steady rise in demand for travel from the Chinese Mainland to Hong Kong as well as transit connections via Hong Kong to other cities across Asia,” said HK Express CEO Jeanette Mao.

To better serve the Greater Bay Area market, HK Express is boosting the number of flights on popular routes within Southeast Asia, including our new services to Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok, to commence on 25 April 2024, as well as increasing the weekly number of flights between HK and Danang from 10 to 14, starting from 28 April 2024.

“Additionally, with the arrival of the summer holiday peak travel season in July, we foresee a steady surge in local and regional travel needs. HK Express remains committed to offering customers air travel options of excellent value and seamless global connectivity,” Jeanette added.
