SEPANG – AirAsia added another milestone to its books by increasing flight frequencies to Colombo, Sri Lanka to eleven times weekly as part of its growth strategy in South Asia.
The additional flight frequency was celebrated with a special send-off yesterday, graced by H.E. Air Chief Marshal Sumangala Dias, the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Malaysia, as well as Bo Lingam, AirAsia Aviation Group Limited Group CEO and Riad Asmat, AirAsia Malaysia CEO. Excited guests onboard Flight AK45 to Colombo were handed special AirAsia’s merchandise as they embarked on their journey.
Kuala Lumpur-Colombo has long been one of AirAsia’s most sought-after routes since it first started operating in 2009. World renowned for its fresh seafood and artistic scenery, Colombo is a tourist haven for globe-trotters and foodies alike. With the increased daily frequency, guests can now enjoy more flexibility in planning their trips to this must-visit destination and from Colombo to Kuala Lumpur directly.
