Wyndham opens new Ramada Encore Hotels in Seoul and Pyeongtaek

The newly opened Ramada Encore Seoul Magok and Ramada Encore Pyeongtaek are expected to meet growing visitor demand in both cities, particularly from business travellers.

SEOUL, South Korea – Highlighting continued interest in its growing portfolio of global brands, Wyndham Hotel Group announced the opening of new Ramada Encorehotels in the South Korean cities of Seoul and Pyeongtaek.

Built against the backdrop of the country’s continuous transformation of its cities into technology hubs, the newly opened Ramada Encore Seoul Magok and Ramada Encore Pyeongtaek are expected to meet growing visitor demand in both cities, particularly from business travellers.

Wyndham now has 23 hotels representing 5,218 rooms across South Korea, all of which operate under the Ramada and Days Inn brand flag. They are located in the cities of Seoul, Incheon, Gangwon, Gunsan and Jeju Island.

“South Korea has long been a country of focus to expand our brands through franchise opportunities thanks to its innovative economy, highly industrialised cities and sought-after destinations,” said Barry Robinson, President and Managing Director, Wyndham Hotel Group South East Asia and Pacific Rim.

Due to the growing popularity of the country’s smart cities among business travellers and investors, the debut of these hotels comes at a pivotal time to provide more venues for meetings and conferences in emerging destinations such as Magok and Pyeongtaek.
