Utell Hotels & Resorts enhances TravelCom commission processing

Utell Hotels & Resorts has enhanced its TravelCom online commission processing service to alert hotel customers via email to outstanding commission payments owed to travel agents, ensuring more complete hotel-travel agent alignment.

TravelCom allows Utell’s more than 6,000 hotels to process travel agency commissions in the agents’ local currencies on a weekly basis. Available 24-7 to enable easy hotel commission reconciliation, TravelCom’s new outstanding payment email alerts encourage repeat agent business.

“We regularly reinforce the importance of paying travel agent commissions in full and on time with Utell’s member hotels,” said Ges Doran, senior vice president, customer support and voice services. “Agents demonstrate greater loyalty to hotels that pay commissions on time which, in these difficult economic circumstances, is important to our member hotels and the Utell chain. The new commission email alerts add to TravelCom’s value for the busy hotelier by ensuring overdue commissions are highlighted to allow immediate processing.”

Another benefit of TravelCom for Utell members is its ability to support a variety of payment options and pay commissions in any of 37 currencies. TravelCom works alongside Utell’s Paytell service, which allows agents to deduct commission owed automatically in their own currency from a client’s pre-payment upon booking. Paytell is offered at no cost to all Utell members.

Utell is a service of Pegasus Solutions, the world leader in travel commission processing. Pegasus Global Commission Processing is the preferred commission payment provider for more than 60,000 travel agencies worldwide, processing more than $500 million in commissions annually. The company provides payment services to more than 35,000 properties, as well as the majority of travel distributors in more than 200 countries.
