Independent by Nature: The Yuluxe Sheshan, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Shanghai Opens as a New Getaway Outside the Bustling City

SHANGHAI – Tribute Portfolio, part of Marriott International, Inc., announced its debut in China with the addition of The Yuluxe Sheshan, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Shanghai. Owned by Shimao Property Holdings, the hotel joins Tribute Portfolio’s collection of exceptional hotels around the globe, spanning from Palm Springs to Paris, and from Miami to Mendoza. In almost two years, Tribute Portfolio has opened 19 hotels with 14 on the horizon, including The Honghe Nativeland Mile in Yunnan, China.

Following a multi-million dollar renovation, the 325-room hotel subtly reflects the independent spirit of Shanghai through dynamic design and thoughtful amenities. Each guestroom and suite offers breathtaking views of Sheshan or the Moon Lake, and guests can enjoy a full suite of upgraded hotel facilities including a state-of-the-art gym; indoor and outdoor pools; a spa and beauty salon; a new 700-sqm kids’ playground, as well as a KTV room and a billiards room.

The Yu Palace serves innovative and creative Cantonese, Hang and local cuisines with 11 private rooms where diners overlooking the Sheshan National Forest Park and the Moon Lake. Le Cafe offers a wide range of Continental and Asian fare, while the Skyline Lobby Lounge provides a more casual, relaxed atmosphere. The Shandy Bar features a unique circular bar for guests seeking a lively nightcap.
