Tri Vananda: Setting the Gold Standard for Wellness in Asia

A forthcoming wellness enclave by Montara Hospitality will be shaped by multigenerational living, wellness, community, and nature

BANGKOK, THAILAND – Set to open in 2022, Montara Hospitality Group’s newest development, Tri Vananda, will reveal a holistic, first-of-its-kind health and wellness residential community and resort in Phuket, Thailand, designed to empower its residents and guests to achieve and sustain measurable transformations in physical and mental well-being. Backed by an investment of over THB 6.6 billion (USD 220 million), Tri Vananda is envisioned as the new benchmark of wellness in Asia. It will be comprised of three main zones spread across 232 acres of land: a wellness residential community (263 residential villas), a wellness resort, and a wetland nature reserve. Only 15 percent of the land will see construction, preserving the natural lay of nine lakes onsite and allowing guests and residents access to an immense expanse of nature.

To devise a holistic suite of offerings in a medical and wellness center specializing in integrative and functional medicine and cognitive well-being, Tri Vananda has tapped spa and wellness industry authority Susan Harmsworth, who sits on the Advisory Board of the Global Wellness Summit and the Global Wellness Institute, and Under a Tree, an experiential wellness consultancy led by award-winning health, wellness, and sustainability expert Amy McDonald.

Lending their expertise to the masterplan of the residential community and resort are three celebrated Thai firms: Habita Architects, P49 Deesign, and Arsomsilp Community and Environmental Architect, under the technical guidance of Ms. Harmsworth and Under a Tree. Meanwhile, AvroKO will design the interiors of Tri Vananda’s community house, which will be the heart of the development.

Sustainable and nature-centric in design, the low-density development will feature renewable energy facilities and a tiered wetland filtration system.

“Tri Vananda will be a multigenerational community rooted in a way of life based on the principles of wellness, sustainability, and hospitality,” says Montara Hospitality CEO Kittisak Pattamasaevi. “It is our most ambitious project to date, and we hope it will set the gold standard for wellness programs whether for retreats or residential developments.”

Located 15 minutes away from Phuket International Airport and within close proximity to prominent international schools, Tri Vananda is a development by Montara Hospitality Group, with CBRE acting as sales broker for its residential villas. Sales commence in December 2020, offering fully furnished and equipped residential villas with a range of one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom configurations on 360-square-meter to 660 square-meter-plots of land.
