Travel Industry Exhibition: Free seminar program for travel agents

Travel professionals from all corners of the industry are invited to attend a series of free seminars that will run for two days alongside the exhibition on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 July at Luna Park Sydney.

The highly anticipated Travel Industry Exhibition has now finalised its educational program.
 
Travel professionals from all corners of the industry are invited to attend a series of free seminars that will run for two days alongside the exhibition on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 July at Luna Park Sydney.
 
Kicking off the program on day one are some crowd-drawing speakers including the Head of Financial Services and Travel, Australia & NZ, Paul McCrory from Facebook and Prue MacSween, Director of Verve Communications.
 
Paul McCrory leads a team at Facebook responsible for helping advertisers and agencies maximise their use of Facebook as a core marketing platform.
 
PR Queen, Prue MacSween is a former journalist and radio and TV presenter who began her own award-winning media and communications MacSween Communications and is now a Director at Verve Communications.
 
Prue will be facilitating a panel of experts, including Caz Makepeace from YTravelBlog and Amanda Woods who will lead the audience through an open forum on travel blogging.
 
Other key speakers on Day One include Joanne Tralaggan, AFTA’s Accreditation Marketing & Communications Manager who will update the audience on the AFTA Travel Accreditation Scheme (ATAS). Simon Hillier, Owner of Get There Writing Services who will run a session called ‘Get Googled’ Smart SEO for Travel Businesses and Holly Galbraith, Owner of Go Future Media will provide agents with a workshop on Twitter for Travel Agents.
 
Headlining the second day of the program is Sarah Mathews, Head of Destination Marketing APAC, from TripAdvisor who will share current industry trends with the audience. As well as Rick Myatt, Director of AFTA Education & Training, AFTA who will be providing a session on AQF Qualifications versus ‘fit for purpose’ Skill sets.
 
Show organisers, the award winning team at Exhibition and Trade Fairs (ETF) were delighted to release the final details of the program. Event Director, Exhibition and Trade Fairs, David McCarthy said, “We were focused on making the year’s program as relevant and valuable to travel agents as possible. Our leading industry speakers will provide travel agents with practical tools that they can come away with and start using in their own business.
 
Mr McCarthy also commented, “We also have a series of destination highlights in the afternoon on day two which will provide travel agents with product and service updates from key businesses.
 
The Travel Industry Exhibition takes place at Luna Park Sydney on Thursday 16 to Friday 17 July.
