The Ritz-Carlton and Trey Ratcliff head to Japan for next phase of global partnership

Leading travel photographer invites fans to participate in an unforgettable journey.

CHEVY CHASE, MD – The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. announced the next phase in the brand’s ongoing partnership with world-famous photographer and influencer, Trey Ratcliff. Earlier this year, Trey’s inspirational photo tour across Europe, in addition to previous tours in the United States, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, captured the attention of his global fanbase and inspired travelers across the world. This fall, Ratcliff will continue his journey with the next chapter in his “80 Stays Around the World.” This time, he will traverse Japan, staying at Ritz-Carlton hotels along the way and documenting his experience on social media in addition to hosting interactive events for guests and locals. “80 Stays Around the World” is an entirely immersive experience for guests and fans, and an opportunity to become inspired by a world-famous photographer, artist, writer and adventurer.

From late October through November, Ratcliff will tour some of the most beautiful cities in Japan, from Tokyo to Okinawa. In partnership with The Ritz-Carlton, his team will spend 3-5 days in each city with an agenda filled with photography walking tours and workshops, allowing guests of participating Ritz-Carlton hotels and local fans to join in this unparalleled experience at no cost. For digital followers, The Ritz-Carlton and Ratcliff will host Facebook Live broadcasts from the photo walks with behind-the-scenes moments and interactions with well-known guests and local personalities throughout the journey. The segments are always fun, special and surprising, as Trey accepts live questions from the viewing audience to discuss his art, creativity, and inspiration.

Specific to this leg of the tour, The Ritz-Carlton is unveiling new partnerships with Ratcliff to develop even more inspirational stories. Through collaborations with notable local social media influencers, who will serve as ideal resources for providing insider destination tips, Trey will have a local lens on art and photography in Japan, which participants can in turn discover.
