The 8th Yacht & Boat Korea opens at Changwon

150 companies from 15 countries will be exhibiting and 2,200 domestic and international buyers are expected to come to the show.

SEOUL, South Korea – As Korea’s landmark of marine leisure with a goal to strengthen the yacht industry, Gyeongnam Province will be opening The 8th Yacht & Boat Korea and Sports Fair (Yacht & Boat Korea 2015) at Changwon Exhibition Conventional Center (CECO) from Apr. 30 to May 3.

Making its debut in 2007, Yacht & Boat Korea’s contract performance built up to over 100 billion won. As it joined The International Federation of Boat Show Organisers (IFBSO) last year, it became certified as an international boat show.

Now held once in two years, Yacht & Boat Korea 2015 is co-hosted by Gyeongnam Province and Changwon City and organized by Gyeongnam Technopark, KNN (Korea New Network), and Plan De Communication. 150 companies from 15 countries will be exhibiting and 2,200 domestic and international buyers are expected to come to the show.

This year’s Yacht & Boat Korea will be displaying a wide array yachts and boats including sailboats, racer yachts, cruiser yachts, motor boats, power boats, and fishing boats. It will also be showcasing parts and equipment like engines, water pumps, electrical units, interior materials, sail sheets, and wires. The outdoor exhibition hall will be showing off marine leisure products like water ski, jet ski, rubber boats, and wind surfing. Republic of Korea Naval Academy, also located at Changwon, will be hosting marine leisure and sports events like the National Yacht, Rowing, Canoe, and Wind Surfing Competitions.
