Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok welcomes Samir R. Wildemann as General Manager and Senior Vice President Operations South-East Asia

Wildemann has held a number of senior hotel management positions in leading five-star hotels. His most recent posts include Pre-Opening General Manager, General Manager and Corporate Executive Officer of The Okura Prestige Bangkok. 

BANGKOK – Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok is pleased to announce the appointment of Samir R. Wildemann as General Manager of Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok, Thailand, and Senior Vice President Operations South-East Asia for Kempinski Hotels, effective 11 May 2015.  
 
A 28-year veteran hotelier, Wildemann brings extensive experience in the luxury hospitality industry from Europe and Asia particularly in Thailand which he has called home for nearly two decades. Wildemann has held a number of senior hotel management positions in leading five-star hotels. His most recent posts include Pre-Opening General Manager, General Manager and Corporate Executive Officer of The Okura Prestige Bangkok.
 
With a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry including the opening of numerous top hotels in Bangkok and beyond as well as his in-depth knowledge about the region, Samir R. Wildemann is well-suited to lead the operations of the group’s flagship hotel in Asia, Siam Kempinski Hotel, and to secure its front-runner position in Bangkok’s luxury hotel market – and in the region,” said Marcus van der Wal, Chief Operating Officer of Kempinski Hotels.
 
A German national, Wildemann earned dual diplomas in tourism and hotel management as well as food and beverage from the Klessheim School of Hotel Management and Tourism in Austria after spending most of his childhood in Thailand, Japan and India. In addition to his mother tongue, he speaks fluent English and French.
 
Wildemann replaces Alejandro Bernabé, who was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Kempinski Hotels late in 2014.
