This year at the ITB Berlin 2007, Resort Asia 2007 will provide visitors a glimpse into Asia’s first and only exhibition for resort businesses and leisure travelers to showcase and source the latest in Asian resort offerings.

To ride on the escalating demand in Asian resorts, special rates will be extended to interested companies who book their exhibition space at Resort Asia during ITB Berlin, according to Singex Exhibitions the organizer of Resort Asia.

Resort Asia will be held from 27 to 30 June 2007 on Tanjong Beach in Singapore’s Sentosa Island to an anticipated 150 regional exhibitors and over 2,000 international trade visitors.

Till date, key exhibitors under the Resort Asia umbrella include regional resort operators such as Genting, Awana Hotels and Resorts, Kima Bajo, One and Only Maldives, Coco Collections, Myanmar Andaman Resort and Costa Sands Resorts, to name a few. Resort owners and operators will promote their properties and room packages to key buyers from around the world. This will also be a golden opportunity for land owners and dedicated country pavilions to display their hidden resort treasures and available properties to a global audience. Resort-related suppliers will be able to market their products to the resort operators at competitive costs.

Trade visitors are expected to come from countries including Australia, China, Europe, India, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Russia and U.S.A. Resort Asia hopes to provide the one and only business and networking platform for outbound tour operators, incentive buying houses, and loyalty card programme managers, to source for the latest Asian resort offerings. On the last day of the exhibition, resort operators will have the opportunity to directly interact with leisure consumers who are looking for unique and exotic getaways in the region.

Given the size and rising middle-class incomes, Asia is ready to embrace resort as a preferred holiday destination. The on-set of budget airlines and better infrastructure will help connect the remote resort locales in Asia to the rest of the world.

Resort Asia will be exhibiting under the Singapore Pavilion led by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
