RateTiger collaborates with MICROS on benchmarking

RateTiger, a specialist in online channel management tools for the hospitality industry, announced a collaboration with MICROS to provide efficient benchmarking solutions for hoteliers using the MICROS OPERA Reservation System (ORS), OPERA Property Management System (PMS) and OPERA Revenue Management System (ORMS).

RateTiger will assist MICROS by providing rate shopping data from RTShopper which will be integrated into the MICROS OPERA PMS, ORS and ORMS products. Through this integration, MICROS users can configure OPERA PMS, ORS and ORMS to provide rate-benchmarking information within the OPERA Suite during revenue management procedures. The user is able to review rates from the competition during the process of reservation booking and confirmation

RTShopper enables individual properties, regional or corporate users to consolidate and report on information about competitor rates across multiple hotel and distribution channels. RTCorp, based on RTShopper, assists hotel groups to benchmarking group wide as well as enforce corporate rate policies.

MICROS OPERA PMS, ORS, and ORMS customers can choose to benefit from the new integration with RateTiger once they upgrade to the latest version of MICROS OPERA solution slated for release during the latter part of 2009. Through Rate Tiger’s integration, MICROS OPERA PMS/ORS/ORMS customers can shop across over 400 travel websites and 5,000 hotel websites worldwide with the flexibility to add more travel or hotel websites whenever required.

“MICROS has demonstrated through its OPERA v5.0 that it can provide insightful and accurrate information while streamlining operations,” said Sascha Hausmann, COO. “Our collaboration is a further endorsement of the quality of data and products we provide to the hospitality industry. Users can benefit from understanding market conditions in real-time to ensure rates remain competitive across all online sales channels. For us it will also mean greater exposer to a much wider market while working with an industry leader.”
