NokScoot eyes continued success in 2019

Asia’s leading medium-haul budget airline sends off 2018 in style after record expansion across the region.

Bangkok, Thailand — NokScoot, the joint venture low-cost carrier of Thailand’s Nok Air and Singapore’s Scoot, plans more exciting routes using new fuel-efficient aircraft in 2019, as it closes out another highly successful year by staying true to its “Fly Awesome” passenger promise.

“We believe that 2019 will be the best year ever for NokScoot,” said NokScoot CEO Yodchai Sudhidhanakul. “This follows a historic 2018 when NokScoot demonstration its ability to expand operations into the important Japanese and Indian markets and grow our network reach.

“New services and aircraft deliveries in 2019 will also further strengthen our Bangkok hub by providing customers with faster and more convenient connectivity to and from North and South Asia into Thailand,” he added.

Additional 7 aircrafts are expected to enter NokScoot’s fleet in 2019, with the airline also expected to take delivery of two additional wide body aircrafts and five narrow body aircrafts. The Thailand-based medium-haul low-cost carrier predicts high utilization of its expanded fleet to continue its aggressive route expansion across Asia during 2019. Nine new services are planned for China, Japan, India and South Korea.
