MGTO organized first “Macao Product Update Gathering for Bloggers”

MGTO invited over 100 Hong Kong bloggers to attend the event and introduced to them Macao’s latest tourism development, in addition, Representative in Hong Kong presented information about Macao’s culinary, entertainment, family spots, culture and arts, to enlighten the bloggers the diversified attractions in Macao.

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) organized the Macao Product Update Gathering for Bloggers in Hong Kong on 13 August 2016. Over 100 bloggers attended the event. Through the gathering, MGTO aims to showcase the latest tourism products and mega events in Macao, and to encourage the bloggers to participate in “Macao, Bloggers of the Year”, one of the signature marketing campaigns in Hong Kong in 2016, so as to promote “Experience Macao Your Own Style” in social media platform.
 
MGTO invited over 100 Hong Kong bloggers to attend the event and introduced to them Macao’s latest tourism development, in addition, Representative in Hong Kong presented information about Macao’s culinary, entertainment, family spots, culture and arts, to enlighten the bloggers the diversified attractions in Macao.
 
Mr. Ryan Lau, a media veteran was invited to be the MC of event. To increase the interaction with Facebook fans, the highlight of the event was also live broadcasted on Experience Macao Facebook fan page. Various bloggers in different fields were invited to share their experience.  To cope with the theme, there were interactive photo booth and Oscar-like carpet setting to make every guest become like a blogger star.
 
The focus of the event was to introduce “Macao, Bloggers of the Year” campaign. From 15 August to mid November 2016, bloggers can join the campaign by sharing their unique travel experience in Macao through blogs, photos and videos. Participants are required to post their works on social media platforms, and then upload the link to the campaign website. They will have a chance to win fabulous prizes and become the most popular/favorite Macao’s Bloggers of the Year! The public can also vote for their favorite bloggers to get souvenirs.
 
Building the city into a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure, MGTO employs “Experience Macao Your Own Style” as the latest promotional theme in an attempt to attract more Hong Kong visitors to experience the diversity of Macao. Also, MGTO will continue to strengthen the communication between industry partners and media by organizing seminars, product update luncheons, familiarization tours, roadshows, and maximize its use of the internet and social platforms for tourism promotion.
