JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok celebrates its 20th anniversary with a makeover

The management of JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok announced the commencement of its enhancement process in rooms and public areas.

Bangkok, Thailand – The flagship of JW Marriott brand and one of the first Marriott properties in the Land of Smiles is celebrating its 20 years in service. Since its opening in 1997, the property quickly become one of the most prominent addresses for business and leisure travelers alike, known for its crafted service and renounced Food and Beverages offerings.

To mark this special occasion, the management of JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok announced the commencement of its enhancement process in rooms and public areas. The transformation will be conducted in phases over 3 years. The first phase, from April to Mid-December 2017, will give the hotel 176 new rooms and suites. The second phase, between April-October, 2017, includes the makeover of 178 guestrooms, meeting rooms and its all-day dining outlet. The last phase will commence mid-2019 on all remaining guestrooms. The hotel will be operating as normal during the whole transformation process. This renovation followed its 2014’s overhaul of the hotel’s Grand Ballroom.

We are all very proud of the legacy and certainly look forward to the new chapter of JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok,” said Mr. Peter Caprez, General Manager of the hotel. “This anticipated renovation in major areas will give us an almost brand new product, allowing us to continue serving our guests with the highest level of luxury.”

Famed architecture firm, PIA Interior Company, is tasked with the hotel’s new look. The new design seamlessly blends traditional Thai elements and modern architecture ideologies. An elegant combination of lightwood flooring, overall natural tones accentuated with marble materials sets a perfect backdrop for traditional Thai mural paintings and decorations to make a visual impact. With this complete makeover, the JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok will have the latest in style, decor and state-of-the-art features that is unparalleled in the city, giving guests a unique look and feel to their stay.
