Turkish mariner joins quality vacation exchange network

Interval International affiliates Dames de la Mer

Interval International, a leading global provider of vacation services, has announced the affiliation to its network of Dames De La Mer, a fractional ownership project comprising a fleet of sailing boats. Based in Turkey, the yachts will operate in the Eastern Mediterranean.

“This affiliation brings a new and diverse experience not previously available to our members,” says Darren Ettridge, Interval International’s vice president of resort sales and service for Europe, Middle East and Africa. “We will also be extending the mutually rewarding relationship we have with the developer, Andy Harris, who operates other vacation ownership programmes affiliated to our network.”

The home marina of Dames De La Mer is Netsel Marmaris located on the outskirts of the town of Marmaris, which is 90 kilometres from Dalaman Airport from where clients will be collected and returned. The marina itself has a capacity of 720 moorings, electric and water connections, a tennis court, swimming pool, 10 restaurants and 2 cafe bars. There is a supermarket on site, a local market nearby and 24-hour security.

The sailing boats to be affiliated to Interval are constructed by the French company Beneteau. All are Cyclades 50.4 class with four double cabins, each with its own bathroom, and a single cabin with bathroom for the captain. The saloon area of the boat consists of a lounge, kitchen and a navigation table for the captain’s use. All boats are fully crewed and can either be sailed or powered by the 110hp diesel engine on board. Rather than following a fixed route, guests will be taken to various secluded bays during the day and to different harbours for the night.

“Dames De La Mer is a new and exciting fractional development. The skippered and crewed yachts offer a luxury Mediterranean lifestyle for discerning guests,” says Andy Harris, developer of Dames De La Mer. “This is the latest innovation from Shakespeare Classic Line who have been offering water-based products since 1997. The experience is enhanced by the partnership with Interval International who offer the quality that Dames De La Mer requires for their owners”.
