HRS customers can now access online services with Smart-Inter@ctive TVs from Grundig. HRS, Europe’s leading hotel portal, has become one of Grundig’s first partners with its new hotel app, available to all owners of Grundig premium models, ‘Fine Arts’ and ‘Vision 8 Sports-TV’.
HRS’s web-based TV app allows owners of the new Grundig LED TVs to search for HRS’s inventory of 250,000 hotels quickly and easily from the comfort of their own living rooms.
Enter travel details using the remote control and a list of all available hotels appears on the screen. The hotels are listed in order of ratings from previous hotel guests. Users can click on any of the hotels to view details of the facilities and services. Thanks to the TVs’ large screen size (between 32 and 55 inches), text and photographs are clearly displayed. The map view also provides a quick overview of the locations of the hotels.
“TVs are following in the footsteps of smartphones and HRS is delighted to have launched the very first personalised hotel search app for TV. The app forms part of HRS’s multi-channel strategy and combines the advantages of the internet with the convenience of the TV”, explains Marco Hauprich, Director of Mobile & New Media at HRS. “Thanks to the TV app, customers can now plan all the details of their next trip from the comfort of their sofa”.
The HRS app is not the only online service that can be accessed directly through the Grundig Smart-Inter@ctive TVs – other options include health and lifestyle services and social networks such as Facebook and YouTube.
The HRS TV app is available in German, English, French, Italian, Spanish and Turkish.
