Hotel Reservation Service turns to Magiq for mobile optimization

HRS – The Hotel Portal offers customers the opportunity to make hotel bookings on the move, and its corporate site, HRSCorporate.com now offers a truly differentiated offering thanks to Magiq, the on-demand digital marketing company.

HRS.com provides an online booking system that gives customers access to the largest online portfolio of bookable hotels. However its flash-based corporate information website – HRSCorporate.com, risked losing customers that tried accessing the information from certain devices, including the iPhone, Blackberry, Android and iPad. Instead of seeing a wealth of company information, certain elements of the website appeared blank to visitors.

This was particularly concerning as visitors were displayed a substandard website. Now, visitors using their mobile devices to access HRSCorporate.com are immediately recognized by Magiq as being mobile users. The Magiq service then automatically injects personalized content into the page with links to the correct mobile app for their device, instead of unusable flash content.

“Magiq’s service has revolutionized the way our mobile customers access the corporate website. Previously, many mobile visitors had trouble accessing our flash-based site, which meant we were potentially losing that window of opportunity to engage with an important customer. But within literally minutes, our website was optimized for all mobile devices – and by using Magiq to do this, we had no changes to make on the website at all!”

Malcolm Duckett, CEO at Magiq, added: “Flash does create a number of issues for companies like HRS that want to make sure mobile customers are getting the best online. However, Magiq lets our customers instantly change the way users engage with a website by showing them only personalized information, so that everything they see and do is highly tailored for them – in this case providing flash-free content and mobile apps.”
