Amadeus announced that The Hertz Corporation has joined Amadeus Complete Access Plus, Amadeus` highest level of GDS connectivity for car rental bookings. With Amadeus Complete Access Plus, travel agents have direct, seamless access to real-time information from the Hertz worldwide database, enabling agents to provide more detailed information to their clients about their car rental reservation.
Complete Access Plus enables travel agents to quote their customers up to the minute car rental prices, inclusive of taxes and surcharges, for all Hertz requests. Hertz is pleased to participate in Amadeus` Complete Access Plus. Consistent with hertz.com and GDS systems, agents using Complete Access Plus are able to provide real-time car rental information, ensuring the customer has comprehensive pricing information about their Hertz bookings, said William Jones, VP Sales and Marketing, Hertz Europe Ltd.
Amadeus continues to focus its strategy on providing solutions that ensure customers` success. Complete Access Plus is an effective tool which supports travel agencies in increasing car rental bookings, particularly leisure bookings, which are known to generate higher commission rates, said Stephane Durand, Director Travel Service Partners at Amadeus. With Hertz` availability through Complete Access Plus, more than eight out of every ten travellers making car rental bookings through Amadeus travel agencies will benefit from 100 per cent accuracy and transparency when searching for availability and final pricing he added.
By early 2004 it is estimated that over 99 per cent of all car rental bookings made through Amadeus will be via Complete Access Plus.
