Genting Dream, currently undergoing fit-out at shipbuilders Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany, will debut from her homeport of Guangzhou (Nansha Port) in November. Her maiden cruise itinerary offers 2, 5 and 7-night coastal China and Vietnam destination experiences.

From 13 November 2016 to 1 January 2017, the 5-night cruise will provide a great opportunity to explore Vietnam’s scenic Da Nang and Ha Long Bay, calling at Sanya on China’s beach resort of Hainan Island on the return leg.

From 1 January to 31 March 2017, the 5-night cruise itinerary will then offer the delights of the vibrant side of Vietnam, with calls at Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City.

Both itineraries have a choice of a 2-night weekend cruise to the dynamic city of Hong Kong.

The exciting new cruise itinerary reflects ever-growing interest in Vietnam as a popular visitor destination, steeped in history, rich in cultural experiences, with incredible food and unspoilt, picturesque bays and beaches.

As Vietnam’s third largest city, Da Nang offers visitors both the delights of a tranquil beach-resort as well as a highly-colourful cultural experience, with colonial architecture, an ancient citadel, a huge street food scene. Ha Long Bay is famed for its towering limestone pillars and tiny islets that rise from the emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. Designated a World Heritage site in 1994, Halong Bay’s spectacular islands, weathered by time and tide, are a vision of ethereal beauty.

Nha Trang is situated on the beautiful Nha Trang Bay, chosen by international publication Travel + Leisure for two succeeding years as one of the 29 most beautiful bays in the world. Ho Chi Minh City, perched on the banks of the Saigon River, is rich in French colonial architecture and famed for its rich coffees, served at a myriad of street cafés. Vietnam’s largest city is the country’s centre of commerce and a cultural gem.

Sanya offers a tropical oceanic landscape that is unique from the other provinces of China. Famed for its seafood and tropical fruits, it offers a multitude of marine activities including snorkelling, diving and sea canoeing for the active and glorious beaches, breath-taking scenery and deep cultural history for those looking for a more laid-back leisure experience.

Hong Kong is a dynamic city of contrasts, with its dramatic Victoria harbour, towering neon-lit skyline and bustling streets. It’s a shopping paradise with everything from the very latest international luxury fashions to handmade clothing by local-tailors. An eclectic range of Asian and international cuisines are to be found from Michelin-star eateries to bustling dai pai dongs and open street-markets.
