Fresh new look to PATA Mandarin website

PATA is delighted to announce that Phase I of its new look PATA Mandarin website is completed. The URL www.PATAChina.org now has with much improved content and functionality.

The site has been developed by PATA member Dragon Trail. Functionality of Phase I includes links to social media channels such as weibo.com (equivalent to Facebook in China) and Youku (similar to YouTube). The new look includes PATA member and industry news updates, a calendar of PATA and regional events, insights, tourism trends, and a more user-friendly media centre.

PATA Interim CEO, Bill Calderwood said: “With the rise and rise of China as an inbound and outbound force, PATA sees great opportunities to help our Chinese speaking members maximise the benefits of membership in their own language.”

President and Co-founder of award winning China based travel technology and digital marketing firm, Dragon Trail, Jens Thraenhart, said: “We are pleased to assist PATA in developing a relevant Chinese language web platform. It allows PATA to reach out to China-based members and engage with the tourism industry by leveraging the Chinese Internet and social media landscape.”

Phase I of the website offers key tools for PATA to communicate with Mandarin readers in a relevant and user-friendly way. Later phases will further enhance functionality for members to access real-time intelligence and engage with PATA and other members online.

I encourage members to make use of this web site and the connected China-based social media channels. Members are welcome to provide news updates on products, services and events which will maximise publicity opportunities.”
