Space is filling up fast at TFWA Asia Pacific, according to organisers Tax Free World Association, but there is still room for some extra brands at the show.

So far 154 exhibiting companies have confirmed stands at this prestigious travel retail exhibition, which will run in the Singapore Suntec Centre from 18-21 May, with many more in the process of reservation. Over 85% of the available exhibition space is already taken.

The line-up of new exhibitors announced in November features Shiseido fragrances & cosmetics, Trussardi fashion, jewellers Thomas Sabo and LeGi International, Georges V Records, Ferrero Trading confectionery, Beringer Blass and William Grant & Sons from the liquor sector, and major tobacco company Seita Groupe Altadis.

To this list are now added newcomers L`Occitane fragrances, Smashbox cosmetics, A&E Petersen confectionery, fashion from Glen Prince and the Brex Group, Russ Berrie gifts, Dannemann Cigars, Whyte & Mackay spirits and Torres wines. Saint Honore and Folli Follie jewellery are exhibiting again after a short absence.

Overall 33% of the confirmed exhibiting companies to date are from the fragrances & confectionery sector with fashion, jewellery and liquor companies each accounting for around 13%; and gifts & electronics, confectionery and tobacco totalling about 9% each.

Donatienne de Fontaines-Guillaume, TFWA Vice President: TFWA Asia Pacific is geared to companies which wish to announce their presence in the increasingly competitive travel retail market in Asia. At this annual forum buyers and agents from this diverse region can see assembled in one place examples of the latest and the best in travel retail. They will find not only the prestigious brand names but also the smaller innovative companies that are introducing exciting new lines to the market. We are expecting a very busy week.
