Location-based marketing technology from IsWhere will help 40,000 Thai temples to reach Consumers nationwide and benefit 60 million Buddhist in Thailand
Nakhon Pathom Provincial Office of Buddhism announced the participation of a new digital media platform to support all Temples in Thailand. Digital Temple Thailand project is free to use for all consumers to easily and quickly see activities from each temple via smartphones.
Mr. Channa Iamsaeng, Provincial Governor said that this project will benefit the people of Nakhon Pathom and other provinces. In the digital era, temples need to adapt quickly and IsWhere platform will help publicize various latest news and information to everyone. Surrounding business such as restaurants or services nearby will benefit too as customers are drawn in by the platform. In Nakhon Pathom, there are many temples that are important and they are also tourist attractions.
Mr. Booncherd Kittitarangkoon Director, Nakhon Pathom Provincial office of Buddhism said: “We are happy to be the first province to kickstart this collaboration between the government and the private sector for the “Digital Temple Thailand”. IsWhere platform will benefit the temples and Buddhism by helping in publicizing various activities including the propagation of the Dharma which will help people connect with Buddhism.”
Mr. Terence Mak, CEO and Founder of IsWhere, said that “location-based marketing technology from IsWhere will help 40,000 Thai temples to reach Consumers nationwide and benefit 60 million Buddhist in Thailand. To support this massive project, sponsors including both individuals and companies are invited to participate so that we can provide free usage for each temple and rollout to the 77 provinces by end of 2020.
We also hope to work with various government agencies both public & private sectors to help invite all merchants from food & beverages, service, shopping and entertainment category to register on IsWhere platform. Businesses who Register now and will get free trial usage until the end of June 2020.”
