CLIA releases digital pack for travel agents ahead of inaugural cruise month

CLIA's pack features a range of great tools to help travel agents boost cruise sales throughout the month, including email and social media templates, a selection of cruise images and logos and a customisable media release.

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia has released a special digital Plan A Cruise Month pack for travel agents, ahead of its first month-long promotion which kicks off on October 1.

Now live on CLIA’s website, the pack features a range of great tools to help travel agents boost cruise sales throughout the month, including email and social media templates, a selection of cruise images and logos and a customisable media release.

From October 1, CLIA’s website will also feature links to scores of Plan a Cruise Month cruise deals, available exclusively to CLIA travel agent members.

Releasing details of the pack, CLIA Australasia Commercial Director Brett Jardine revealed that the inaugural cruise month promotion would feature four cruising categories over four weeks including luxury and expedition cruising; river cruising; cruising from Australia and New Zealand and international cruising.

Mr Jardine said CLIA was encouraging agents to plan their marketing around these themes and deals during the month to help promote the wide range of cruises available and maximise sales.

Active agents will also be rewarded with the chance to win some great prizes throughout October including cruises and thousands of dollars in marketing funds. A full list of prizes and more details of how to enter can be found on the Plan A Cruise Month page on the CLIA website.

Mr Jardine said the new month-long promotion would create some valuable sales momentum at the start of a busy cruise season.

“Four weeks will let us showcase the huge diversity of cruises on offer and really underline our message that there’s a cruise out there for everyone,” Mr Jardine said.

Reflecting the growth of the cruise industry worldwide, Plan A Cruise Month replaces the shorter annual Cruise Week promotion and will be rolled out by CLIA offices around the world in October in the first international coordination of the promotion.
