Best Western won outstanding performance in South Korea

Best Western International has recently been honored the 2012 Global Standard Management Award in South Korea. Best Western International’s area representative in South Korea, BgH Korea Co., Ltd., accepted the “2012 Global Standard Management Award” for its work in leading the country’s hospitality management. This honor marks an impressive achievement for the chain as it is the only hospitality company to receive this award.

“An unwavering commitment to quality and dedication to upholding industry-leading standards has always been a key focus for Best Western, as we continue to grow our brand throughout Asia. To be recognized for our quality standards in a mature and highly demanding market like South Korea is particularly rewarding” said Best Western International’s Vice President International Operations – Asia & the Middle East, Glenn de Souza.

Best Western’s growing South Korea portfolio currently comprises nine hotels in Seoul, Incheon and Gumi-Si, of which more than half are luxury Best Western Premier properties. The chain is currently the biggest international hotel chain in Seoul, South Korea.

The Global Standard Management Award is presented by Korean Management Association (KMA); a private, not-for-profit company that focuses on organisational training and management consulting. Best Western International joins the prestigious ranks of other leading companies namely TESCO Korea, LG Electronics, SK Chemicals and POSCO (the world’s third largest steel maker) as well as national railroad operator Korail and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (KHNP).
