According to a forecast report released Thursday by the China Aviation Industry Corporation I (AVIC I), the passenger volume of China`s aviation market will grow by 8.3 percent each year in next 20 years.
The China Market Outlook for Civil Aircraft 2003-2022 says that along with continuous economic growth, booming tourism, the implementation of west development program and civil aviation reform, the air traffic market will also increase at a high speed.
It is forecast that from 2003 to 2022, passenger turnover will increase by 8.3 percent annually and reach 627.7 billion person kilometers in year 2022.
Cargo traffic will increase by 11.3 percent annually and reach 43.91 billion ton kilometers.
In 2022, China will have 2050 passenger aircraft. In the next twenty years, 1901 new aircraft will be needed for replacement of existing fleet.
